10th nCoV patient confirmed

VGP - The Ministry of Health on Tuesday afternoon confirmed the 10th nCoV patient who had close contact with another friend already tested positive for the virus.

The lastest case, P.T.B, is a female worker in Son Loi commune, Binh Xuyen district, Vinh Phuc province. She is being quanrantined at the medical center of the Binh Xuyen district.
 
B began to suffer high fever on January 31, nine days after close contact with the virus-infected patient, according to the Ministry of Health.
 
Her friend, aged 23, was among eight workers of Japan-based Nihon Plast Company Limited sent for work training in Wuhan city in Hubei province two months ago. They returned to Viet Nam on a Southern China Airlines flight (CZ8315) on January 17.
 
Other confirmed patients in Viet Nam include two Chinese nationals (a son and his father and the former has recovered and was discharged from Cho Ray hospital on Feb. 4), three members of a French family, and a US citizens transiting through Wuhan on January 15 on his way to Viet Nam from the US.
 
As of Tuesday afternoon, 56 provinces and localities in Viet Nam have decided to delay reopening of schools at all levels in a bid to contain the virus spread, the Ministry of Education and Training just reported.
 
The virus has killed 427 people and sickened 20,639 others in 26 countries and territories.
