18th Vietnam-China chairmen’s meeting of demarcation and border-mark placement wraps up in success
VNGOVNet–From 27 October to 5 November 2006, the 18th meeting of chairmen of the joint committee on demarcation and placing border marks on the Vietnam-China border took place in Beijing.
The meeting proceeded in a friendly and frank spirit. The two sides held that it was necessary to deepen the general understanding of the heads of the two governmental delegations on border and territorial negotiations, fasten the work on demarcation and border-mark placement so that it can be done in 2008 as agreed upon by the two countries’ senior leaders.
On 4 November 2006, the two sides signed the meeting’s minutes.
