725th online public service on National Public Service Portal makes debut

VGP –The 725th online public service on certifying electronically copies of original documents and some necessary online public services on the National Public Service Portal since the second quarter of 2020 made debut on July 1.

Speaking at the press conference, Minister-Chairman of the Government Office Mai Tien Dung said that as of June 29, 2020, as many as 179,000 accounts have registered on the Portal, doubling the figure recorded in the first quarter of this year. 

In the second quarter of the year, more than 46.6 million visits were recorded, a two-fold rise in comparison with the previous quarter or an increase of 7.7 million visits each year. 

Currently, more than 10.6 million documents serving for searching, supervision and evaluation and 154,000 documents have been processed on the Portal, 11 times higher than in the first quarter of the year. 

Each month, the Portal receives and processes more than 46,000 online documents. 

Since the e-payment system of the Portal operated in March, it has integrated and provided e-payment services with six ministries and agencies, 31 among 63 localities and launched 2,100 transactions. 

The 725th online public service is expected to extend health insurance cards for 17 million subjects, serve for more than 614,000 subjects contributing to volunteering health insurance and more than 38 million potential subjects. 

Thus, after seven-month in operation, 725 integrated online public services have been recorded on the Portal, 90 times higher than the date of first debut and 4.5 times higher than the first quarter of 2020. 

The provision of new online public service may save VND1,686 billion for people and businesses each year, asserted Minister Dung. 

The national public service portal made debut on December 9 after nine months of construction.

The portal consists of six components namely national database on administrative procedures and the frequently asked questions and answers related to the procedures, on-time login and verification system to connect with ministerial and provincial-level public service portals, e-payment system, opinion section for citizens and enterprises, integrated public services of ministries, agencies and localities, and online supporting services.
