More than 70 foreign and domestic delegates, including officials, teachers, researchers from 15 15 ACD member countries attended the seminar to share and exchange experience in human resource development and put forward initiatives for cooperation among the ACD members in this fields.

Addressing the seminar, Deputy Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs Nguyễn Thanh Hoa affirmed, “To improve quality of human resource for the requirements of national industrialization and modernization, in allocating annual budget, the Vietnamese Government always prioritizes investment in education and training. Our standpoint is to further engage the society in this cause and make full use of all social resources as well as cooperation projects funded by other countries and international organizations to develop education-training in general and vocational training in particular”.

The ACD seminar held in Vietnam can be considered a starting point for ACD cooperation in human resource development. This is one of practical activities to prepare the 6th ACD Ministerial Meeting to be scheduled on June 4-5, 2007 in the Republic of Korea.
