VGP – The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) will deploy a project worth of US$138 million to support infrastructure development in 15 northern mountainous provinces in the 2011-2016 period.

The project aims to eradicate poverty, upgrade and develop infrastructure facilities; enhance capacity for local authorities.
Out of the total investment, the Asian Development Bank finances US$108 million and the Vietnamese Government contributes US $30 million.
As of March 31, 2012, VND 250 billion had been handed over to realize the project./.
