Agriculture-aquaculture-forestry exports reach US$22.66 bln

VGP - The export turnover of agriculture, forestry and aquaculture in September is estimated to reach US$2.76 billion, bringing the total over the past nine months of the year to US$22.66 billion, a year-on-year increase of 11.4%.

Viet Nam exported 5.02 million tons of rice, gaining US$2.29 billion. The exports to the Philippines witnessed remarkable growth rate with an increase of 3.06 times in volume and 3.1 times in value.

The nation earned US$2.81 billion from exporting 1.35 tons of coffee, up 31.9% in volume and 27.9% in value. Germany and the US are the largest coffee consumers of Viet Nam.

The export turnover of aquatic products over the past nine months attained US$5.65 billion, up 21.6%. The US ranked first in importing Viet Nam’s products, followed by Japan.

Viet Nam mainly exported timber and wooden products to the US, China and Japan, earning US$4.41 billion, up 13.5%.
