Argentine President to pay State visit to VN next week
VGP – Argentine President Mauricio Macri and his spouse will pay a State visit to Viet Nam from February 19-21, the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced Friday.
The visit is made at the invitation of State President Nguyen Phu Trong.
Viet Nam and Argentina established diplomatic ties on October 25, 1973 and the two countries celebrated the 45th founding anniversary of their diplomatic ties in 2018.
The bilateral trade value reached nearly US$3 billion in 2018, making Viet Nam the largest trade partner of Argentina in Southeast Asia.
In a recent interview with the reporter of the Viet Nam News Agency, Vietnamese Ambassador to Argentina Dang Xuan Dung said that the Argentinean President’s upcoming visit to Viet Nam will create an impetus for the bilateral relationship in the time ahead, especially in the areas of economy and trade.
During the visit, a business forum will be organized with the participation of around 40 leading Argentinean enterprises and a number of Vietnamese businesses to promote trade and investment activities between the two sides.
