Asia's biggest packing factory built in Central VN

Sabeco is now the biggest business in the country's beer, alcohols and beverage production, contributing VND 3 trillion per year to the State budget for successive years. Many of its products, including Sài Gòn Beer and 333 canned beer, have been preferred by consumers at home and abroad.

According to Mr. Phan Đình Trạc, Chairman of the Nghệ An Province People's Committee, the Sài Gòn-Nghệ Tĩnh Beer Factory alone, a subsidiary of Sabeco, contributes over VND 100 billion per year to the province's budget. So, this investment project is very important. In the near future, when put into operation, the Sabeco-Sông Lam packing factory and the newly-built Sài Gòn-Sông Lam Beer Factory (capacity of 100 million liters/year in stage I, 200 million in stage II) will bring about a great contribution to Nghệ An's budget.

The VND 690-billion investment project consists of three bidding packages for supplying can manufacturing line and equipment worth of US$ 33 million; for carton packing manufacturing line worth of US$ 2.3 million; and for capital construction and domestically-made equipment provision worth of VND 60 billion. These packages will be realized by three contractors: CCH (UK), Jingshan Industrial Machinery Group (China) and Polico Company (Việt Nam) respectively. When the construction is finished, the factory is expected to produce 450-600 million cans and 40 million carton bags annually.

Nghệ An remains a poor province with many mountainous districts. So, the province is trying to attract such big investors as Sabeco. In the time to come, the province will offer new incentives to create a better investment environment.
