VGP - The Mekong Delta province of Bến Tre will organize the third coconut festival on April 5-10, according to the organizer board at a press conference held today in Hồ Chí Minh City.

Under the theme “Bến Tre on the right track of integration and development”, the festival will lure the participation of other provinces which produce coconut products, as well as coconut processing businesses in the Asian Pacific Coconut Community (APCC).
The festival includes diverse activities such as an exhibition showcasing coconut products, a High Quality Vietnamese Goods Trade Fair, a seminar on improving the value of coconut products from now till 2015 with orientations to 2020, and a design contest for handicraft products made from coconuts.
Coconut products account to 25% of total industrial production value in Bến Tre province, and 40% of its export turnover.
Local coconut products have presented exported to over 50 nations and territories worldwide./.
