The Whitebook covers various fields in which over 650 members of EuroCham are operating, including pharmacy, consumer goods, energy, telecoms, automobile manufacturing, tourism, and finance-banking.

Intellectual property, enterprise mergence and Việt Nam’s realization of WTO commitments are also mentioned.

Particularly, the book updates information about Việt Nam’s advancements in improving its business climate.

Talking of economic development in Việt Nam, EuroCham Chairman Alain Cany stated that EuroCham has seen the recovery in most of industries, credit and stock markets.

Mr. Cany suggested the Government focus on lifting basic barriers to the national economy’s competitiveness rather than pursuing high growth in short term.

EuroCham strongly believes that by reforming State-owned enterprises (SOEs), the entire economy will be pushed up, said Mr. Cany. He added that the Government should speed up the equitization of SOEs, especially in the banking and telecommunications sectors.
