Boosting administrative reform to fuel economic growth

VGP - According to experts of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), despite having gained remarkable achievements, Việt Nam should accelerate its administrative reform to actively assist economic growth.

On November 25 when meeting with reporters in Hà Nội, Mr. Mario Amano, Deputy General Secretary of OECD, recommended measures for Việt Nam to speed up the reform, including construction of unified and transparent policies, investment in improving impact assessing capacity, and further dialogues with residents and enterprises.

Việt Nam should also restructure the Administrative Procedure Reform Advisory Council, and continue to focus on streamlining administrative procedures through IT applications.

Mr. Amano stated that Việt Nam has strong political support for the realization of administrative procedures simplifying plans, but still needs an overall institutional reform strategy.

Mr. Nguyễn Minh Mẫn, Vice Chairman of the Advisory Council, said, Việt Nam needs consensus and surveillance of people and enterprises to successfully simplify administrative procedures.
