Bridge connecting Tra Vinh and Soc Trang to be built

VGP - The PM has approved the Ministry of Transport (MOT)’s project on building Dai Ngai bridge on Highway 60 connecting Tra Vinh and Soc Trang provinces.

July 16, 2015 4:04 PM GMT+7
The PM assigned the MOT to review and evaluate the project’s total investment as regulated.

The MOT was asked to work with the Ministry of Finance and the People’s Committees of the two provinces on establishing the tool stations. The MOT was also assigned to select investors as authorized and regulated.

Dai Ngai Bridge is a key facility on Highway 60, which will help connect the highway with provinces in the eastern part of the southwest region, including Tra Vinh, SocTrang, Bac Lieu and Ca Mau provinces.

The bridge will shorten the way from Ho Chi Minh City to Soc Trang by around 70km, cut down transport cost and ease traffic pressure on Highway 1A, contributing to boosting socio-economic development and ensuring national defence and security.
