In Ho Chi Minh City, the catering group increased slightly. Meanwhile the price of entertainment and tourism services dropped 0.09% and that of healthcare service, 0.02%.

In the Capital, restaurant costs shrank 0.49% against the previous month. Prices saw slight drops in transport service, 0.78%; post and telecom, 0.3%; housing, water and building materials, 0.04%.

Relatively low consumption power was attributed to the stable CPI in spite of the long holidays in early May, according to Cong Xuan Mui, Director of the Ha Noi Statistics Office.

Experts said that petrol prices cut by thrice in April also affected the falling CPI.

In the coming time, Ha Noi would launch stimulation programs and large-scale sale promotion campaigns with the participation of around 500 local enterprises to accelerate consumption demand./.
