CPVCC convenes 7th plenum with personnel work among top topics

VGP - Personnel work and reform of salary and social insurance policies are mong the key topics of the Communist Party of Viet Nam Central Committee's 7th plenum which opened in Ha Noi on Monday.

During the 6-day plenum, the Party Central Committee will also deliberate on several reports on performance of the Politburo and the Secretariat; Party inspection, supervision, and disciplines among others.

CPV members urged to point out breakthroughs in personnel work

In his opening remarks, Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong said a number of guidelines and policies on personnel work have been adopted over the past two decades but shortcomings still remain.

He urged the CPV members to find out the reasons leading to low effectiveness of these guidelines and policies for extensive discussions in order to work out breakthrough solutions to address the shortcomings in a quick and comprehensive manner.

The Party chief also challenged the CPV members to try to point out breakthrough steps in personnel work.
