Cambodia lifts cross-border travel strictions for Vietnamese citizens
VGP – Cambodia has decided on the termination of the validity of diplomatic notice 698 MFA.IC/AP1 on cross-border travel restrictions between Viet Nam and Cambodia.

Earlier, on March 18, the Cambodian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation issued six-point announcement on cross-border travel between the sides amid the COVID-19 pandemic, which stipulated that entry by Vietnamese and Cambodian citizens into each other country by road, waterway and air suspended from March 20. The restriction was not applied to diplomatic and official passport holders.
On May 20, Cambodian Ministry of Health said it lifted the entry ban into the country for visitors from Italy, Iran, Germany, Spain, France, and the US. The ban was originally imposed to prevent transmission of COVID-19.
However, foreign visitors shall have to have certificates affirming that they are not infected with the virus within 72 hours prior to their entry into Cambodia and to prove that they have heath insurance worth US$50,000 during their stay in Cambodia.'
Foreign visitors shall also be required to serve 14-day quarantine at Government-designated facilities and tested for COVID-19./.
