China, Laos send consolatory messages, sympathizing with typhoon victims

VNGOVNet – Knowing that Typhoon Durian had caused heavy human and material damage to Vietnamese southerners, on behalf of the Chinese Communist Party, State and people, General Secretary and State President Hu Jintao sent a message of consolation to General Secretary Nông Đức Mạnh and State President Nguyễn Minh Triết to express his deep sympathy and heartfelt consolation for the heavy damage suffered by the coastal Vietnamese people due to Typhoon Durian.

 In his December 6 consolatory message to PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng, Lao PM Bouasone Bouphavanh extended his deepest sympathies with the brotherly Vietnam’s Communist Party, Government and people as well as the families and localities hit by Typhoon Durian. PM Bouasone Bouphavanh was convinced that the life of people in typhoon-stricken Vietnam would be recovered soon.
