Chinese Ambassador hosts formal National Day reception in Hà Nội

VGP – A solemn reception was hosted by Mr. Sun Guoqiang and his spouse on Tuesday evening, September 29 in Hà Nội, to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the National Day of the People’s Republic of China (October 01, 1949).

At the reception, Ambassador Sun emphasized that, over the past 50 years, the China–Việt Nam friendship has reached never before seen heights of a strategic partnership for comprehensive cooperation as agreed by top leaders of the two Parties and States.

He affirmed that the consolidated ans strengthened relationship between the two countries will surely benefit the development and prosperity in each country, underlining that the Party and Government of China attaches importance to its partnership with Việt Nam.

Representative of the Government of Việt Nam, Deputy PM Nguyễn Sinh Hùng extended warm greetings to the Government and people of China upon their grand celebration.

Regarding bilateral ties, the Deputy PM stated that Việt Nam and China, since establishing the strategic partnership in May 2008, have seen great advancements in their relationship in various fields, such as politics, diplomacy, national defense, security, economics, trade and culture.

He was pleased with the completion of border demarcation and landmark planting along the common borderline between the two countries.

The Deputy PM said that Việt Nam wants to further foster the partnership with China in the interest of the two peoples and for peace, cooperation and prosperity in the region and the world.

* On Monday, September 28, Chinese Consul General Xu Mingliang also held a similar reception in Hồ Chí Minh City.

* On the occasion, a photo exhibition will be opened on September 30 at the Việt Nam National Library. The event is jointly organized by the Việt Nam Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Chinese Embassy.
