They also took measures to guarantee security and order, remand in custody and prosecute extremists as well as stabilize production and business activities of Formosa and other projects in the Vung Ang Economic Zone.

The project owners, contractors, engineers and workers have thanked the local government and related agencies for dealing with the incident quickly and effectively

The Director General of Formosa project has confirmed that Formosa would continue its project and ensure its progress and quality.

However, according to the request of the Chinese Embassy in Ha Noi and the Chinese contractors in the project, the Vietnamese authorities have created favorable conditions for China to take its workers back home by air (for injured people) and by sea. The task has been realized since May 19.
