DNA Identification Center for Revolutionary Martyrs made debut
VGP – A Center for DNA Identification for Revolutionary Martyrs under the Institute of Biotechnology made debut on Thursday, which is expected to help ease families' difficulties in finding the remains of war martyrs.

The Institute of Biotechnology is the first establishment in Viet Nam to develop DNA analysis technology in service of identifying remains of revolutionary martyrs.
Between 2000 and 2015, the Institute had identified nearly more than 1,200 remains of martyrs.
In 2015, the Govenrment set goal to build three Centers for DNA Identification in order to increase analysis capacity to 4,000 sets of remains of martyrs annually.
Nearly half decade has gone since the country was reunited, there are still 300,000 sets of remains of war martyrs lacking information./.
