The Deputy PM confirmed that the Vietnamese Government regards people as the center of development and translates the viewpoint in a host of policies and guidelines.

Viet Nam is implementing the national strategy to protect, care, and improve public health during 2011-2020, with a vision to 2030 with the aim of guaranteeing that all will enjoy primary health care services and increase their access to high-quality ones.

The Vietnamese Government has encouraged the participation of various sectors in the development of the health sector in recent years, he added.

The Deputy PM also stressed on the importance of the cooperation between the Government and sponsors, including bilateral sponsors and international organizations in the domain.

In Viet Nam, the Official Development Assistance for the health sector in the phase from 1993-2012 reached US$2.5 billion, focusing on projects on improving health care services and national target programs on health, HIV/AIDS prevention and control and contagious diseases.

Deputy PM Minh spoke highly of the activeness of the United Nations to accelerate the establishment of the agendas for post 2015 development in poverty reduction and sustainable development.
