The Deputy PM said that the bilateral cooperation between Viet Nam and the Republic of Korea (RoK) have positively contributed to each country’s socio-economic development.

He appraised LOTTE for pushing up its investments in Viet Nam, saying this is a sound orientation, which has been shown through positive business performance of the group.

The Vietnamese Government always welcomes and creates all possible favorable ways for international investors including LOTTE to expand and do long-term business in the country, Mr. Ninh noted.

He also proposed LOTTE group in particular and Korean investors in particular continue to engage in social activities in favor of poverty reduction, development of human resources and healthcare in Viet Nam.

For his part, Mr. Kag-Gyu Hwang said that Korean investors are extremely interested in the Vietnamese market. LOTTE group and other Korean businesses regard Viet Nam as the most sustainable and promising market in the region.

So far, LOTTEE have poured around US$1 billion in Viet Nam and generated around 10,000 jobs for local people.

In the coming time, the group intends to expand its presence in other provinces and cities in Viet Nam in such areas as retail sales, transport service, hotels and tourism.

The guest executive also committed to taking part in more activities to reduce poverty and promote community development in the host country.
