The city strives to build an automatic water environment observation station at the Cau Do river; upgrade Cau Do Water Plant’s capacity to 170,000 m3 per day, and then to 210,000 m3  per day.

Four existing urban wastewater treatment stations will be upgraded while new drainage systems will be built in some districts.

With the goal of increasing the collection of garbage from rural area to 70%, and from the city to 95%, Da Nang continues to implement the second phase of the project on “hourly garbage collection” in 32 inner wards and Hoa Vang district.

In addition, scientific and technological advances will be applied in agriculture to enhance the community's awareness of taking part in protecting people' health and soil environment quality.

Aiming at increasing the air environment quality, greening projects in Da Nang will be sped up to ensure forest coverage ratio to 50.6% by 2015. Total budget for this project is more than VND7 billion.
