Da Nang police force performs tasks during seven-day curfew

Specifically, the force deployed 200 mobile teams and 300 checkpoints to supervise movement of people during the seven-day lockdown.

Local residents are requested to stay indoors and banned from leaving their places of residence (excluding urgent purposes).

Within seven days, the local authorities only permit the following people to go out: COVID-19 prevention forces, emergency, medical examination and treatment, sanitation workers, electricity, water, information staff, and reporters.

Manufacturing enterprises at industrial parks or high-tech parks are allowed to sustain operation with the maximum of 30% of their worforce at workplaces.

All public agencies and companies must ensure "three-on-spot" operation - which means production, meals, and rest after work at the same place.

After the week-long lockdown, the city’s Department of Health will launch a mass community testing strategy to detect infection cases and promptly separate COVID-19 patients from the community.

Earlier, on August 14, the Da Nang People’s Committee announced the lockdown as a tougher move to contain the COVID-19 resurgence.

Since July 10, Da Nang reported 1,609 new cases of coronavirus infections. The city applied the PM’s Directive 16 from 6:00 pm of July 31.

The coastal city of Da Nang became the epicenter of Viet Nam’s second wave of COVID-19 resurgence in last mid-July.
