Addressing the event, Vietnamese Ambassador Phạm Xuân Sơn highlighted the characteristics of Việt Nam’s culture and tourism. Last year, Việt Nam received over 5 million foreign visitors, including 60,000 Russian ones, he noted.

Representatives of the city’s authorities introduced policies on attracting international arrivals and developing tourism, as well as advantages of the sector.

Đà Nẵng has an international airport, a deepwater seaport, with the National Road 1A and the North-South railway running nearby, a beach recognized by the Forbes magazine as one of the best 6 beaches in the world, and many first-class seaside resorts.

The city is in the center of clusters of the UNESCO-recognized world heritage sites, including Huế, Hội An, and Mỹ Sơn.
