Denmark helps VN reduce water loss
VGP – PM Nguyen Tan Dung just approved the project of reducing water loss in small urban areas in Viet Nam, which is sponsored by the Danish Government through a non-refundable aid of DKK1 million.

The PM assigned the Ministry of Construction (MoC) to ratify and sign the agreement with the Danish Embassy.
According to the MoC, Viet Nam now has 755 urban areas and a rate of urbanization of 31% which can reach 50% by 2025. Currently, 68 water supply companies are operating Viet Nam and feeding around 70% of the urban population.
However, water loss has become a challenge in the urbanization process when up to 29% of clean water is lost.
