The Vietnamese leader made the confirmation while receiving Mr. Wei Jizhong, Honorary Life Vice-President of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) and coordinator of the 18th ASIAD, in Ha Noi on October 25.

Deputy PM Nhan lauded the guest’s assistance to Viet Nam in preparing and hosting the 2009 Asia Indoor Games, hoping that Mr. Wei will further support Viet Nam in the future events.

The Vietnamese Government always pays attention not only to socio-economic development but also sports, especially the 18th ASIAD, said the Deputy PM.

Mr. Wei Jizhong is on a working visit to Viet Nam to inspect the country’s preparations for hosting the biggest sport event in Asia.

He had several working sessions with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Administration for Sports and Gymnastics, Viet Nam Olympic Committee, and Ha Noi People’s Committee.
