This is one of the important projects in Binh Dinh’s renewable energy development program and the first renewable energy project at the Nhon Hoi Economic Zone to be connected with the national grid.

The plant has a capacity of 100 MWp and is invested by Japan’s Fujiwara Joint Stock Company with a total capital of US$63.7 million. The first-phase capacity is 50 MWp, with the annual power output estimated to hit 61 MW/h.

Once put into operation, the Fujiwara solar power plant will contribute to increasing tax revenue, creating jobs and serving socio-economic development for Binh Dinh province. In addition, the project will also work to protect the environment and other valuable natural resources of the country by using the renewable wind and solar energy sources.

Addressing the event, Deputy PM Binh emphasized that the Party and State always pay heed to the power sector, stating that power development must be pushed forward to meet the needs of industrialization, modernization and socio-economic development, and ensure national energy security.

Over recent times, the Government has issued many preferential policies attract non-state investment capital in the power sector, he said, adding that so far the national power system has ensured a sufficient power supply in service of national development with high quality and reliability.

The deputy PM asked the Fujiwara Binh Dinh solar power plant to effectively operate the project, use many local workers, make contributions to the local budget, and contribute to protecting the environment.
