Mr. Arai Izumi said that his working-visit aims to improve some Japan-funded projects in Việt Nam.

Việt Nam has quickly launched projects such as Nghi Sơn thermal power plant in Thanh Hóa Province and the East-West Highway in Hồ Chí Minh city, said Mr. Arai Izumi, hoping that Vietnamese Government will also create favorable conditions to speed up the other projects.

Deputy PM Hải highly appreciated the developments of the relations between the two governments in general and between Việt Nam and JICA in particular.

Việt Nam has actively pushed up the disbursement of ODA, particularly since the adoption of the Government’s Decree No. 69/NĐ-CP, said the Deputy PM.

He went on to say that Việt Nam will continue to focus on infrastructure development in the following five-year economic development plan.

Deputy PM Hải called on Japanese investors to pour more money in infrastructure and energy development in Việt Nam, particularly in a form of Public-Private Partnership (PPP)./.
