VGP – All passenger transport services from/to the central city of Da Nang will be fully resumed since 0:00 on September 7 as the city has basically contained the COVID-19 pandemic.

The move aims to ease difficulties against businesses, especially passenger transport companies.

To prevent the spread of the virus, passengers are requested to wear facemask, declare health status, and those having smart phones should download Bluezone-a domestically developed contact-tracing mobile app to alert people who have interacted with COVID-19 patients.

Earlier on September 4, the Da Nang Municipal People’s Committee decided to ease social distancing restrictions, starting from Saturday.

The city permits restaurants, shops, food and drink establishments to resume their business but only allowing takeaways.

Gatherings of more than 20 people at public places and social settings, including festivals, sport events and weddings are still prohibited.

Viet Nam began the 3rd phase of COVID-19 fight since July 25 when a community infection case of COVID-19 was confirmed in Da Nang.

The country’s patient tally remains unchanged at 1,049 as of 6:07 pm on Sunday. Of these, 551 cases linked to Da Nang have been confirmed since July 25.

As many as 815 have been recovered and 35 others have been reported dead, according to the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control.

Viet Nam still closes borders to foreign tourists and first international commercial flights may only be resumed since mid-September./.
