EU provides financial support for flood-hit central region
VGP - The European Commission will provide €1.4 million to help Việt Nam’s flood-hit central region, according to the press release by the European Union (EU) delegation to Việt Nam on December 28.

The fund will be used to meet urgent humanitarian needs of over 100,000 people affected by destructive flood in October.
Clean water, sanitary conditions, medical treatment, food, accommodation are among most urgent needs for the flood-hit areas.
This is part of the EU’s plan to provide € 7 million for humanitarian assistance to over 300,000 persons in Việt Nam and other regional countries.
The EU’s humanitarian assistance for natural calamities mainly focuses on building safe houses in areas exposed to natural calamities.
