Via the portal (in English language only), foreign partners can find information about over 16,000 Vietnamese export enterprises as well as various export commodities.

The portal also provides information relating to Việt Nam’s export markets, international trade and economic agreements to assist domestic exporters’ operations.

Domestic exporters will have more chances to promote trade activities through VNEX, according to the MIT.

The VNEX was built as part of Phase 3 of the European Union-Việt Nam Multilateral Trade Assistance Project (MUTRAP III). Under the project, three other portals had been constructed and put into operation to assist the business circle.

For the first eleven months, Việt Nam’s export turnover was US $51.3 billion despite the fragile recovery of the global economy.

The Vietnamese Government expects to realize the NA’s export growth rate target next year, 6% higher than 2009.
