The Việt Nam National United Front, now called the Việt Nam Fatherland Front, on November 17 in Hà Nội held a state-level anniversary to mark its birthday.

Over the past 80 years, the Front has gathered Vietnamese patriots who joined hands for the nation’s revolutionary cause.

On behalf of the Party and State, President Nguyễn Minh Triết conferred a Gold Star Medal, Việt Nam’s most noble award, on the Việt Nam Fatherland Front.

On the occasion, various activities have been conducted nationwide to uphold the solidarity and patriotism of the Vietnamese nation.
