Five Cabinet members to appear at NA hearing

VGP - Five Cabinet members will go before the National Assembly to answer questions on matters under their charge, during live broadcast sessions held from June 12-14.

Deputy PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc is one of five Cabinet members to answer questions at the ongoing 5th session of the 13th Naional Assembly

They are Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Cao Duc Phat, Minister of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs Pham Thi Hai Chuyen, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Hoang Tuan Anh and General Prosecutor of the Supreme People’s Procuracy Nguyen Hoa Binh.

NA deputies are expected to querry Minister Phat on measures to promote agricultural development in combination with job creation as well as mechanisms and policies to speed up and improve the efficiency of the programme on building new-style rural areas.

Minister Chuyen will present her explanation on issues of the NA deputies’ concerns such as employment and vocational training, measures to address shortcomings and limitations in vocational training and job generation in rural areas.

Measures to enhance state management over labour export activities and the ministry’s dealing with illegal overseas Vietnamese workers will also be spotlighted.

For the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the law makers will focus their questions on the preservation and upgrading of historical and cultural relic sites, and tourism promotion.

General Prosecutor Binh will be required to clarify measures to enhance and improve the efficiency of the exercise of the right to public prosecution and oversee law enforcement at judicial agencies, as well as the fight against corruption. 

Ministers and heads of relevant ministries and agencies will also go before the NA to give more details on issues under discussion./.
