As the pandemic has been brought under control, the Government had decided to resume international commercial flights to facilitate entry of foreign diplomatic and official passport holders, investors, business managers and skilled workers while continuing rescuing efforts to repatriate citizens stranded abroad due to COVID-19.

The Government had identified acceleration of disbursement of public investment capital as one of the key solutions to economic recovery.

In a bid to foster the implementation of key transport projects, the Ministry of Transport is preparing for official kick-off of three out of 11 sub-projects of the North-South expressway on September 29.

In addition, official visits have also be resumed, with Foreign Minister of the Republic of Korea Kang Kyung Wha becoming the first Foreign Minister to have visited Viet Nam so far this year.

UK Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab is set to pay an official visit to Viet Nam from September 29-30 at the invitation of Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh./.
