Foreigners working in Vietnam to be licensed easily

VNGOP – This is a direction from PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng to the ministries of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, Public Security, Justice, and Foreign Affairs to apply the "one-stop-shop" regime in licensing foreigner to work in Vietnam.

May 03, 2007 7:07 AM GMT+7

The Head of the Government assigned the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs to be the major implementer, under the collaboration with the other three ministries, to consider, amend and abrogate out-of-date regulations on diplomats, certificates, legalization of consul, criminal records, working licenses, and temporary/permanent residence cards of foreign experts and workers who come and work in Vietnam. The ministries will set up and issue in the third quarter of 2007 a joint ordinance on the "one-stop-shop" issuance of working licenses and residence cards for those objects. Local agencies in charge of labor management will be focal points to receive applications and return the response.
