Four foreign nationals among 10 new COVID-19 cases
VGP – Viet Nam on Thursday confirmed ten new COVID-19 cases, including four foreign nationals, bringing the patient tally to 1.531.
Specifically, patient 1522 is a 53-year-old man in Ho Chi Minh City.
He flew from Dominica to France and then took flight VN18 to the Van Don International Airport in Quang Ninh Province on December 12.
The patient is being treated at the Ha Nam Provincial General Hospital.
Patient 1523 is a 13-year-old boy in Trang Bom District of Dong Nai Province.
He was brought home on flight VN30 from Germany on December 30 and quarantined in Binh Duong Province.
The patient is being treated at the Binh Duong Provincial General Hospital.
Earlier, five passengers onboard the flight VN30 had been confirmed positive for the virus.
Patients 1524 and 1525 are Austrian men aged 23 and 35 respectively.
Both of them flew from Austria to the United Arab Emirates and then took flight EK394 to Ha Noi on January 5.
They are being treated at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Ha Noi’s Dong Anh District.
Patient 1526 is a 13-year-old American boy.
He flew from the U.S. to Singapore and then took flight SQ178 to Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) on January 10.
The patient is being treated at the HCMC Cu Chi field hospital.
Patient 1527 is a 32-year-old Israeli man who flew from the U.S. to the United Arab Emirates and then took flight EK392 to HCMC on January 12.
The patient is being treated at the HCMC Cu Chi field hospital.
Patient 1528 is a 22-year-old man in Tu Liem District, Ha Noi.
Patient 1529 is a 54-year-old man in HCMC’s District 1.
Patient 1530 is a 24-year-old woman in Ha Noi’s Hai Ba Trung District.
Patient 1531 is a 63-year-old woman in Son Tra District of the central city of Da Nang.
Patients 1528-1531 flew from the U.S. to the Republic of Korea and then took flight VN441 to the Cam Ranh International Airport in the south central coastal province of Khanh Hoa on January 1.
They are being treated at the Phu Yen Provincial General Hospital.
Earlier 12 passengers onboard the flight VN441 had been confirmed positive for COVID-19.
Of the patient tally, 1,369 have recovered and exited hospitals while the number of fatalities stands at 35./.
