France adds €85 million for HN urban railway
VGP – France will provide an additional capital of €85 million the Emerging Markets Reserve (RPE) for Ha Noi Pilot Urban Railway line No.3.

A financial protocol to this effect was signed by Minister of Planning and Investment Bui Quang Vinh and French Ambassador to Viet Nam Jean-Noël Poirier on December 12.
Earlier, France provided €250 million for the project.
The pilot 12.5km-long urban railway line linking Nhon in Tu Liem suburban district and Ha Noi railway station in the inner district of Hoan Kiem, includes a 8.5km elevated section and 4km underground section from Thu Le to Ha Noi station.
The underway project also includes 12 stations along the line which is designed for a maximum speed of 80km per hour and capable of carrying over 900 passengers per train. It will take passengers about 20 minutes to travel the whole length of the line.
