Fund raised for poor people in Đồng Tháp
VGP - The fund-raising program “For-the-Poor Night in Đồng Tháp” in Hồ Chí Minh City on Saturday mobilized over VND 100 billion for disadvantaged people and families in the southern province of Đồng Tháp.

The program, attended by Deputy Prime Minister Nguyễn Sinh Hùng, featured many impressive musical and dance performances.
The money donated by individuals and enterprises will help Đồng Tháp build 11,000 new houses to replace the existing makeshift ones, and support farmers’ production, students, and children coming from extremely poor households or suffering serious diseases.
Before the program, the provincial People’s Committee signed eight memoranda of understanding, totaling VND 3.5 trillion, on investment cooperation with economic groups and companies.
