The two leaders expressed their pleasure at the positive advancement of the strategic partnership between the two countries and agreed to continue fostering the bilateral ties, especially in politics, economy, development cooperation, education and training among others.

PM Dung extended sincere thanks to Germany for creating favorable conditions for the Vietnamese community to live and work in the country.

At an earlier meeting with the President of the German Parliament Norbert Lammert in Berlin, PM Dung urged Vietnamese and German legislatures to beef up cooperation, a move which the PM considers in line with their strategic partnership set up in 2011.

The Vietnamese Government chief sought his host’s support to enhance Viet Nam’s ties with the European Union.

Mr. Lammert assured the PM that he would attend the 132nd General Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union scheduled for next March in Viet Nam.

The same day, PM Dung asked the two foreign ministries to coordinate closely with relevant agencies of the two countries in organizing activities to celebrate the 40th anniversary of diplomatic ties next year, during his reception for German Foreign Minister Frank Walter-Steinmeier./.
