Germany businesses encouraged to enter VN
VNGOVNet – PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng emphasized so in his cordial reception in the March 27 afternoon to the visiting delegation of entrepreneurs and scientists from Bayern, the largest state in the Federal Republic of Germany, headed by Bayern Governor Edmund Stoiber.

After informing the guests eminent socio-economic achievements made by Vietnam in 20 years of renovation, PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng stated that the bilateral trade ties, though significantly developed in the past time, are not really corresponding to the two countries’ potentialities. Up to now, German enterprises have conducted 70 investment projects in Vietnam, with a modest total capital of US$ 400 million.
Vietnam always encourages and provides best conditions for foreign investors to succeed in Vietnam, asserted the PM. He also expressed his hope that Germany will increase its ODA to Vietnam, help the country to train her human resource, and give more scholarships to Vietnamese students.
Bayern Governor Edmund Stoiber showed his sentiment and admiration to Vietnam’s rapid and sustainable economic development over the past time.
He pledged to help Vietnam obtain Germany’s ODA to build subways in Hanoi and Hồ Chí Minh City. He promised to encourage economic groups and universities in Bayern to further cooperate with the Vietnamese partners.
On March 28, Governor Edmund Stoiber will meet Industry Minister Hoàng Trung Hải, Education-Training Minister Nguyễn Thiện Nhân, and leaders of the Ministry of Planning and Investment. He will also witness the signing ceremony for cooperation agreement between the Munich University of Applied Sciences and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Hanoi National University./.
