Nha Trang City's revised urban plan gets PM's nod 09:16 | 05/01/2007
VNGOVNet – The PM approved on January 02, 2007 the revised Urban Plan of Nha Trang City, Khánh Hòa Province, to 2025. Under the plan, Nha Trang will become an economic, science and technology, education and training hub of a large region including the south-central coast and the Central Highlands. The city will also be a significant tourist destination for domestic and international arrivals and a political, economic, cultural, scientific, and technical centre with an important geographic position for national defense and security of Khánh Hòa Province.
PM okays Dutch-funded mother and birth mortality reducing program 07:04 | 05/01/2007
VNGOVNet – Considering the proposal of the Ministry of Planning and Investment, the PM approved on January 02 the program "Reducing mother and birth mortality towards the Millennium Goals 2006-2010" funded with a nonrefundable aid of €7,500,000 from the Dutch Government. The corresponding capital to the program will be taken by the central budget grants for administration and non-profit activities to the Ministry of Health (MoH) and participating provinces annually.

VNGOVNet – Considering the proposal by the Ministry of Fisheries on the payment of yearly dues to the Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center (SEAFDEC), on behalf of the PM, Standing Deputy PM Nguyễn Sinh Hùng has agreed an increase of US$ 4,000 to US$ 14,000 in the annual membership fee to the organization from 2007.

VNGOVNet – Following the proposal of the National Committee for Search and Rescue and recommendations from the ministries of Justice and Foreign Affairs, PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng agreed on December 27 that Vietnam will join the International Convention on Maritime Search and Rescue 1979 (Convention SAR 79).
