VNGOVNet – On the proposal of the Ministry of Finance (MoF), PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng approved on December 18 the Credit Agreements and borrowing conditions of the Projects "Hà Nam Waste Disposal Plant" and "Sewage Draining and Treating Systems in Phủ Lý Town, Hà Nam Province" with the fund from the Belgian Fortis Bank.

UN Program on strengthening public health management extended to Stage 2 17:06 | 18/12/2006
VNGOVNet – On behalf of the PM, Deputy PM Phạm Gia Khiêm agreed in principle the implementation of the Program "Capacity building support aimed at strengthening the management of public health emergencies in Vietnam". Accordingly, the Program will focus on the prevention and control over potential dangers of epidemics, including Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI). It has a total cost of US$ 16,212,441 co-funded by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), World Health Organization (WHO) and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF).

VN Veterans' Association aided with dioxin-infected children care equipment 13:30 | 15/12/2006
VNGOVNet – On the proposal of the Ministry of Finance, on December 14, Deputy PM Phạm Gia Khiêm agreed on behalf of the PM for the Vietnam Veterans' Association (VVA) to benefit from the aid of secondhand medical equipment and instruments with 80% of the quality remaining donated by the Vietnam Youths Society (ADE) in Belgium. The aid will go to the Friendship Village administered by the VVA for the care of dioxin-infected children there.

VNGOVNet – Considering the proposal of the Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI), on behalf of the PM, Deputy PM Phạm Gia Khiêm agreed on December 14 that the MPI will request the Australian Center for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR) to support the implementation of cooperation projects funded with nonrefundable aid from the Australian Government in the fiscal year 2006-2007.
