In 2009, the first year of enforcing the regulations on joint performance, the Government and the VFF fruitfully encouraged all walks of life, especially economic groups and corporations, to donate over VND 974 billion for the Fund for the Poor.

The fund was spent on building more than 124,000 houses for poor people.

The VFF also called on people to follow six stimulus packages for socio-economic development adopted by the Government.

The two bodies joined hands in receiving and settling comments from voters.
Thanks to the joint performance between the Government and the Việt Nam Fatherland Front, many poor households had new houses to welcome the Lunar New Year 2010

At the meeting, PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng stated that in 2010, the Government and the VFF place importance on accelerating emulative movements and engaging all people in realizing the set socio-economic duties.

It is also necessary to better the life of people, especially those living in remote and mountainous areas, disadvantaged families, and victims of natural calamities.

The two bodies pledged to join efforts in combating corruption and conducting administrative reforms.

The Government and the VFF should closely shake hands in perfecting legal documents and engaging people in building policies and laws.
