Gov’t chief: VN willing for comprehensive cooperation with Timor-Leste

VGP – Receiving Timor-Leste’s Minister of Tourism, Commerce and Industry Gil da Costa Alves on Tuesday afternoon, PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng underlined that Việt Nam is willing to develop comprehensive cooperation with Timor-Leste, especially in economics, trade and investment.

PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng highly spoke of the outcomes of the talk between Việt Nam’s Minister of Industry and Trade Vũ Huy Hoàng and Minister Gil da Costa Alves.

The Vietnamese Government chief stressed that, to make use of their respective potentials and assist each other to further develop, Việt Nam is ready to shake hands with Timor-Leste in such fields as petroleum, food processing, timber industry, tourism, and human resource nurturing.

“Việt Nam commits to stable and long-term provision of rice for Timor-Leste,” PM Dũng said.

He hoped that Timor-Leste will become an ASEAN member soon.

Minister Gil da Costa Alves showed his admiration to achievements gained by Việt Nam, hoping that Việt Nam will back Timor-Leste’s development and admission to ASEAN./.
