Gov’t chief meets ASEAN leaders

VGP – PM Nguyen Tan Dung has meetings with Lao PM Thongsing Thammavong and Myanmar’s President Thein Sein in Nanning on September 21.

At his meeting with the Lao counterpart, PM Dung highly spoke of the realistic and effective development in the Viet Nam-Laos relationship as well as the two nations’ cooperation in organizing activities to celebrate the Viet Nam-Laos Friendship and Solidarity Year 2012.

He expected that the two sides will realize effectively agreements in terms of economiy, trade and investment to raise the bilateral trade to a new height in the near future.

PM Thongsing Thammavong confirmed that Laos will do its utmost to strengthen the two countries’ relationship.

Meeting Myanmar’s President, the Vietnamese PM applauded achievements Myanmar has gained in national renovation and intentional integration.

The two leaders showed their pleasure at the flourishing multi-faceted relations between the two nations and agreed to exploit potentials and enhance cooperation in economics, trade and investment.

They are also unanimous in giving priority to 12 fields listed in the Viet Nam-Myanmar Joint Statement in April 2010.
