Gov’t chief receives new Ambassadors

VGP – Vietnamese PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng on November 4 in Hà Nội separately received Iraqi Ambassador Faris Abdul Karim Alani and Ukrainian Ambassador Oleksiy Shovkoplias who have taken office in Việt Nam.

PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng, while hosting a reception to Ambassador Faris Abdul Karim Alani, expressed his pleasure to witness the growing ties between Việt Nam and Iraq.

There are abundant potentials for closer cooperation between Việt Nam and Iraq, said Mr. Dũng.

Việt Nam, asserted PM Dũng, always attaches importance to spurring the comprehensive ties with Iraq.

PM Dũng hoped that Mr. Faris Abdul Karim Alani would closely work with competent Vietnamese ministries and agencies to boost bilateral linkages, especially in terms of economics, trade and investment.

Finally, the PM highlighted that Việt Nam stands ready to open an embassy in Baghdad and join meetings of the Việt Nam-Iraq Inter-governmental Committee.

Ambassador Faris Abdul Karim Alani committed to doing his utmost to nurture the bilateral ties.

During his reception to Ukrainian Ambassador Oleksiy Shovkoplias, PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng proposed the two sides boost not only economic ties but also other linkages in such domains as education-training, tourism as well as national defense.

Ukraine always regards Việt Nam as an important partner, said Ambassador Oleksiy Shovkoplias.

The diplomat also pledged to facilitate trade promotion and bilateral cooperation between the two sides in the areas like heavy industries, manufacture of aircraft, and shipbuilding./.
