Gov’t focuses on curbing inflation
VGP – In its regular meeting for October 2010 today, the Government today has given top priority to curbing inflation, stabilizing macro-economy, tightening price control, and strictly punishing all price-relating violations.
The Government also gave comments on the draft strategy on national
loans and payment 2010–2020 with visions to 2030–2050, and the draft ordinance
on merging legal documents.

In October and the first ten months,

In October, the Government
instructed ministries, agencies and local authorities to secure safety and
provide emergency relief to people in flood-ravaged
The Government allocated VND 730 billion
and 14,000 tons of rice to the victims.

Top mission: Reining in inflation
Concluding the meeting, PM Nguyễn
Tấn Dũng highlighted the top mission in the remaining months of 2010 as curbing
inflation and controlling prices.
He ordered local authorities to
discover and punish all price-relating violations.
The PM also urged relevant agencies
to center on dealing with consequences of floods in the central region, rebuilding
infrastructure and recovering production and daily activities there.
The Government chief mentioned
administrative reforms, anti-corruption, reduction of traffic accidents, promotion
of export, and prevention of epidemics for crops and animals.
