Gov't okays task of making Phu Tho province development masterplan
VGP – Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung recently signed Decision No. 490/QD-TTg approving the task of making the Phu Tho province development masterplan for the period of 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050.
Accordingly, the planning principles must be appropriate, consistent and synchronized with the goals and orientations set in the country’s 10-year socio-economic development strategy (2021-2030) and five-year socio-economic development plan (2021-2025).
The purpose of planning is to concretize the national master plan and the regional plan at the provincial level on the spatial arrangement of socio-economic and defense-security activities, the urban system and rural population distribution, infrastructure, land allocation, the use of resources and environmental protection, on the basis of connecting national planning, regional planning, urban planning and rural planning.
In addition, the plan will offer a tool to ensure the comprehensive and consistent leadership, direction and management in the northern province of Phu Tho, while serving as a base for policy planning and creation of development motivation, as well as a premise to attract and manage investment, accelerate strategic breakthroughs in terms of infrastructure, and reform administrative procedures in a public, transparent and fair manner.
The planning contents should orientate development, spatial arrangement and allocation of resources for socio-economic activities in accordance with the national and regional planning approved by authorized state agencies, towards the goal of sustainable development across the three pillars of economy, society and the environment.
Moreover, they need to be consistent with the context of international integration as well as commitments in multilateral and bilateral international treaties to which Vietnam is a signatory.
Also, the planning contents must ensure coherence, synchronism and the effective use of the existing infrastructure systems between sectors and inter-district areas and localities in the province, in addition to building and concretizing the direction views on socio-economic development and social security assurance, focusing on promoting development of disadvantaged areas, ensuring sustainable livelihoods and improving the people’s material and spiritual lives../.
