HCMC among top five global cities for street food

VGP - Ho Chi Minh City has been ranked fourth among 50 best cities for street food-obsessed travelers, according to a new survey by CEOWorld

October 22, 2019 5:57 PM GMT+7

Ho Chi Minh City has surpassed many Asian metropolises, better known as street food paradises in the world such as  Korean’s Seoul (13th), Japan’s Tokyo (19th), Taiwan’s Taipei (25th), India’s Delhi (42nd) and Indonesia’s Bali (45th).

Turns out the list was ranked based on votes from travellers who are also food lovers.

According to the U.S.’s business magazine, 92,000 business travellers and 1,400 corporate travel agents from over 86 countries and territories took part in the survey.

The survey measures the cities on four parameters: number of street food vendors, affordability, number of street food experiences, and food hygiene.

Vietnamese cuisine has become better known in the world over the last couple of years, with international chefs and prestigious food magazines praising several national dishes.
