HCMC to accelerate the roadmap of economic restructuring
VGP – From now to 2010, the authority of Hồ Chí Minh City pledges to back the economic restructuring, focusing on industrial promotion, in order to obtain the GDP growth rate of 12.6-13%.

The People’s Committe of Hồ Chí Minh City just set up its plan to carry out the Assisting Program on Economic Restructuring upto 2010.
Accordingly, the city will attach its attention to improving urban environment to accelerate the restructuring.
In addtion, the rearrangement and equitization of State-owned enterprises will be also prioritized.
Public services enterprises will be rearranged in line with the Law on Entrepreneurship 2005 through assessing the decentralized management of public works and engaging social forces into providing public services.
State-owned corporations and companies will be the major economic forces in the city’s economic restructuring roadmap.
The city will assist the business community in building up their brands, promoting trade, training manpower, and penetrating into domestic and international markets.
